Back in December, Victoria Beckham debuted her own collection by wearing it out in the public doing some retail therapy. Victoria wore a black pencil dress from the Spring 2009 collection with a black fur shrug, matching handbag, oversized black sunnies and her beloved YSL Trib Two pumps. A typical Victoria Beckham look.
A few months later Victoria ditched the black dress and instead opted for the racy red version which she wore with matching red Christian Louboutin Rolando pumps.
Heidi Klum mimicked Victoria by wearing the same ensemble with the same shoes at the Unveiling of The Perfect One Bra at Victoria’s Secret on March 3, 2009 in Los Angeles.
Yesterday at the Fashion Against AIDS Party in Paris, burlesque star Dita von Teese looked chic as ever wearing the same Victoria Beckham dress in black with black Louboutins and red lips.
Despite being named after Victoria Beckham, I like Vicky least in her own collection. Yes, she looks sophisticated as always, but Heidi and Dita make the dress look better. Heidi however lacked inspiration as she has worn the dress with YSL Trib Twos just like Victoria, so Dita wins this for me. The dress sits perfectly on her and hugs all her delicious retro curves. Love it! Even the deep plunge neck looks kinda classy on Dita.

Sophie Kinsella wore head-to-toe Alexander McQueen when she attended the New York premiere of “Confessions of a Shopaholic” on February 5, 2009. The author wore a striped column dress
($1595) from the Resort 2009 collection with a pair of to-die-for heart peep-toe pumps
($835) and a hot pink Union Jack box clutch, also by Alexander McQueen.
Victoria Beckham wore the same dress yesterday when she was spotted leaving the “La Briciola” restaurant with hubby David in Milan. Instead of going for the obvious Alexander McQueen high heels, Vicky B opted for a pair of super cute Miu Miu whipstitch patent pumps
($695).
Even though I absolutely love Sophie’s peep-toes, I’ll have to go with Victoria because a) her hair is styled better and b) because she seems much more confident wearing the dress. What do you think?

Anne Hathaway was the first to wear a gorgeous beige Stella McCartney military coat when she was out and about in New York on January 5th, 2009 promoting her new movie Bride Wars. Anne wore the coat twice that day, before and after the taping of “The Early Show“.
Jennifer Connelly followed to wear the same coat while shooting a commercial for Revlon on January 23rd, 2009. The actress wore the coat with black pants and a black large tote.
Victoria Beckham wore the same coat in a darker color back in November 2008.

2008 – a great year for great covers. Here we present you the past covers of Vogue UK in 2008. More 2008 cover collections to come very soon. Enjoy!

My favorite top 3 are May (Natalia! Soooo lovely!), March (Kate!) and December (Kate! Again!). The ones I liked least were Uma’s July cover (too generic) and Agyness Deyn for the June issue (Agyness over-exposure!).
What about you? Which were your cover faves? You can vote for your favorite cover in a poll after the jump.
All covers and editorial infos also right after the jump. Just click on “Read More” below.

Yup, I’m officially in shoe heaven. If I were to own a pair of these awesome Giambattista Valli platforms most likely I wouldn’t be able to walk in them, but who cares as long as they look so A-M-A-Z-I-N-G on your feet, right?
Giambattista Valli – Spring 2008 Footwear

The first time I saw these darlings they have been strutted down the runway of Giambattista Valli‘s Spring 2008 fashion show where they took my heart by surprise. They instantly rocketed to the top of my wishlist, but unfortunately I wasn’t lucky enough to grab a pair for myself since women across the world have been trying to get their hands on the “Victoria“-shoe which was named after former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham because she was the first to wear these lovely heels in a photoshoot for fashion magazine ELLE.
The year went by and the GV platforms with the killer 6″ heel faded as I was starting to have new shoe obsessions with the likes of Christian Louboutin, Alexander McQueen or Brian Atwood. Until yesterday when they accidentally crossed my eye again. And they returned with a BANG!
Celebrities & Giambattista Valli

As you can see, I’m not the only one lusting after this dramatic footwear. Celebrities such as Rihanna, Jessica Biel, Mary-Kate Olsen, Victoria Beckham and Nicole Scherzinger have been seen sporting the GV “Victoria” platforms to several events. My personal favorites are Jessica Biel‘s fire red pair and MK‘s white ones with the hot pink platform and heel. Gorgeous, aren’t they? Which ones do you like best?
Designer Inspiration – Giambattista Valli vs. Forever 21

There is no such thing as an iconic shoe if it doesn’t get at least copied once by the mainstream shoe industry. And this is exactly what happened when Forever 21 launched their “Vero Neon Platform“-shoes. No question about them being blatant copies available in either black/pink or black/lime for as much as $22.80. But since I couldn’t get a pair of the Giambattistas I really start thinking about purchasing the copycats just for the fun of it. They probably won’t last long or spend any comfort (I think the architecture of the shoe makes it impossible even if the shoe was $600), but that’s not what I expect from a shoe that’s $20. Of course there are always exceptions. And since I’ve never bought footwear from Forever 21 before I guess I just might give it a go and find out myself.
