Fall weather has caught upon us and I already see people adjusting their wardrobes by wearing only dark and boring colors. I love fall fashion just as much as everyone, but do we really need to hide ourselves in grey?
This colorful print dress by Rory Beca reminds me of my art classes in school where we used to slash paint allover our canvas to replicate a Jackson Pollock painting. That was so much fun! Show your colors and just pretend as if we’re in the middle of May!

The lovely Thandie Newton attended the Serpentine Gallery Summer Party in London yesterday looking absolutely stunning in a multi-colored Matthew Williamson Resort 2010 silk dress. Thandie copied almost the entire runway look 1:1, but added a different, studded belt to cinch in her tiny waist. Nude cutout heels and a heavily embellished clutch from the same collection completed Thandie’s colorful look. What a great red carpet comeback! Thandie never disappoints in the style department.

Marchesa Coral Silk Chiffon Gown
(NET-A-PORTER)
Time to kick off a new category here on this blog – it’s called “Dress of the Day“. From now on you’ll find your daily dose of dress perfection covered here on Profashionelle. And we start off with this beautiful silk chiffon gown by Marchesa from the Resort 2008 collection.
If I was ever to walk a red carpet, Marchesa would definitely be among my TOP 5 of considered designers (Christian Dior, Valentino, Elie Saab and Versace would be the others). And this beautiful Grecian-inspired floor-length evening gown is one of the reasons why. Love the empire waist, the gold embroidered bodice, the crossover straps, everything. I prefer the white version, but the coral one is edgier. Which color do you like best?
Definitely a red carpet worthy piece of fabric. Cash out $4.785 and call it yours. Pocket change.
