Back in August Katie Cassidy looked absolutely outstanding at the Melrose Place Launch Party wearing a sparkling navy one sleeved dress from Brian Lichtenberg’s Fall 2009 collection. The actress was head-to-toe perfection and completed her stunning red carpet look with a silver Swarovski clutch and Bebe “Desiree” platform heels.
Paris Hilton attended the 2009 Fox Reality Channel Really Awards yesterday wearing the same shimmering mini dress. It’s not often that I say Paris looks nice, but on this occasion she looks great in this knockout dress which she paired with a pair of black platform sandals from her own shoe collection.
Despite Paris looking quite decent for once, I still think she’s no competition for Katie at all. Everything about her look was perfect and not one hair was out of place. 1:0 for Katie! What do you think? Do you agree with me or not?

I noticed a certain trend on the red carpet lately. Celebrities like Jordin Sparks, Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton are more and more stepping away from their usual, steep high fashion items in favor of more budget-friendly, accessible high street stuff. Case in point: Bebe.
Jordin has been spotted wearing Bebe several times already, but seeing her in a $139 satin dress at such an important red carpet outing as the Teen Choice Awards was quite a surprise. The same can be applied to LiLo and Paris who wore a Balmain inspired sequin mini dress to a Maxim event a few days ago.
The question resulting from this is: are celebrities finally affected by the economical crisis just as the rest of us or could it be that Bebe is quite the secret fashion tip among celebs nowadays? Up to you to decide.

Paris Hilton was the first to sport this awesomely cute peacock print dress by Bilingual back in June. The socialite is always all about matching accessories, so it’s no surprise she added loads of blue accessories to complete her look. She decided to do a bit of promo for herself and added gold sequin pumps ($73.60) from her own shoe line to her red carpet attire.
Rachel Bilson followed to wear this dress recently when she was visiting a friend’s house in LA. Rachel wore her trademark black wayfarer sunnies, her beloved green vintage bag and black Trove Tkees flip-flops ($44).
Paris Hilton could’ve won this competition, but she went overboard with accessories as usual and hence ruined her chances of ruling Rachel out. If she would’ve ditched the matchy-matchy jewelry and matched her bag to her shoes, she would’ve looked great, but the black handbag and the accessories overkill cost her the win. Rachel on the other hand was drop dead gorgeous and I liked how she styled the dress casually. So, RACHEL all the way. Do you agree?

Rihanna hasn’t wowed me in a long time, but when she was papped leaving Kanye West’s apartment in New York on May 22, she completely redeemed herself by wearing a stunning nude and black corset dress from Alexander Wang’s Pre-Fall 2009 collection. Rihanna wore the dress with a silver metallic Erva “Razza” tote and black Jil Sander platform heels
($680).
Paris Hilton followed in Rihanna’s footsteps and wore the same corset dress a few days later when she arrived for a taping of the Late Show With David Letterman in New York on June 1st. Paris opted to wear her favorite It shoe of the moment, the YSL Trib Two heels, and the popular House of Harlow 1960 Resin Necklace
($125) with her dress.
I like the dress on both (probably because it was one of my favorites from Wang’s Pre-Fall collection), but I prefer it on Rihanna. She fills it out better and was more creative choosing her accessories. Who’s your favorite?

Rihanna

Rating:

Rihanna turned up in a cobalt blue Preen dress which she accessorized with a bold diamond necklace, hoop earrings, various bracelets and rings. The singer completed her blue outfit with matching Nicholas Kirkwood for Rodarte kick-ass platform heels.
The color looks divine on RiRi, but I am having serious problems with how one strap is much thicker than the other. It makes the whole dress look unbalanced.
Leona Lewis

Rating:

Brit export Leona Lewis opted for a black and purple Hervé Léger dress and hot pink pumps which she matched to her pink lips. Leona finished her look with a black clutch and a black square bangle.
I am somewhat tired of seeing celebrities wrapped in Hervé Léger every other day, but Leona looks good and has the curves to carry it off, so I don’t mind. I am not sold on the Barbie shoes though.
Paris Hilton

Rating:

Paris Hilton brought some serious bling on the red carpet. The socialite sparkled head-to-toe in an asymmetrical Collette Dinnigan Fall 2008 one-shoulder dress with a matching silver Chanel flap bag, an oversized diamond men’s watch and a pair of sparkling pumps.
As usual Paris goes overboard. I guess she tried to get maximum attention out of her look. Too bad, the dress alone would have made her look good. The removable shoulder fairy tattoo is also very classy, very Paris.
Andrea Bowen

Rating:

Andrea Bowen looked cute in a purple bubble hemmed dress which she paired with black patent round toe pumps.
Andrea is looking okay, but I feel she can do much better. The shoes were a bad choice to go with such a dress. Strappy sandals or at least peep-toes would’ve made a big difference here.
Adrienne Bailon

Rating:

Adrienne Bailon was also not looking her best. I don’t like the dress (too trashy), the make-up or the fake hair extensions. What I do love though are her black patent YSL Trib Two pumps which seemed one size too big for Adrienne.
Cassie

Rating:

Cassie kept it low key in her all black ensemble. The occasional singer wore a black oversized silk top with a black satin mini skirt. She opted for the ankle boot version of the YSL Trib Two pump.
