Natalie Imbruglia wore a khaki green Jasmine Di Milo Spring 2009 asymmetrical dress at the Grand Opening of Atlantis in Dubai last November. Natalie completed her look with a new blonde do and black strappy sandals.
Talulah Riley wore the same dress in navy when she attended the World Premiere of “The Boat That Rocked” in London. Her look was finished with silver stilettos and an elegant updo.
There are a couple of reasons why I prefer the dress on Talulah. Let’s start with the fact that the dress looks simply better in navy. Plus, the contrast between the dress and Talulah’s milky skin is striking. Talulah also seems to be taller than Natalie making the dress sit better on her. I also prefer Talulah’s updo over Natalie’s blonde bob. What about you?

This cute yet elegant dress by PPQ is my latest dress obession. It’s sooo adorable. I’ve found myself falling for all things nautical inspired lately and this dress would be the perfect choice for a sunny day on a yacht in St. Tropez, don’t you think?

Fashion Faceoff time! Seems like this navy 3.1 Phillip Lim ruffle-front dress
is quickly becoming a celebrity favorite. As of now, 3 beautiful ladies donned this romantic midnight blue frock. The tiered ruffles on the skirt, the poofy sleeves, the navy color – simply adorable, isn’t it?
Actress Jennifer Morrison was the first to wear this popular mini dress at the 3.1 Phillip Lim Los Angeles Flagstore Opening back in June. She accessorized with a beautiful pearl necklace, a silver box clutch and a pair of silver strappy sandals.
Fast forward 6 months later. Model Liya Kebede opted for the same dress which she kept well hidden under her black coat on December 1st, 2008 at the screening of the “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button“. The model wore her dress with black tights, black boots and carried a black handbag.
Lindsay Price was the last to join the 3.1 Phillip Lim-lovers by wearing the same ruffled dress to “Hornitos Midnight in the Garden of Agave” a few days after Liya’s red carpet appearance. The actress opted for red suede Mary Janes and red lips to go with the dress.
My favorite has to be Jennifer Morrison. She was the only one doing this beautiful dress justice because of her well chosen accessories (jewelry, clutch & shoes). Plus, I love how she wore her hair in a loose wavy updo to give the dress a sophisticated look.
The other two managed to look decent, but I wish Lindsay would’ve picked some accessories to add interest (the red shoes and lips weren’t simply enough for me) and Liya’s version was plain boring (she didn’t seem to be enjoying herself in general).
