Leighton Meester looked amazing in a monochrome striped sailor dress from Louis Vuitton’s Resort 2010 collection which she teamed with a pair of to-die-for Brian Atwood red patent pumps.

I was glad to see Alexis Bledel on the “red” carpet again as she always has an aura of loveliness surrounding her. Alexis wore a blue Opening Ceremony lace dress which seemed slightly too large on her, but I still loved her in it. Her cute Loeffler Randall sandals were the icing on the cake.

Hayden Panettiere wore a pink Zac Posen pencil dress with her favorite nude Louboutin peep-toes. She did look stunning although way too old for her age.

Audrina Patridge opted for a fuchsia Zuhair Murad Spring 2009 strapless dress which she accessorized with turquoise Courtney Crawford pumps, a purple python clutch and a taupe beaded necklace and bracelet. For once she did not look like she was dressing up for a Playboy party.

I don’t think I will ever really like Kim Kardashian‘s lighter locks because I absolutely adored her raven hair, but she still looked great in a white Stella McCartney Spring 2009 halterneck dress and pewter Gucci “Iman” platform sandals. I hope to see her return to black soon though.

Vanessa Hudgens strut the grass carpet looking pretty in purple in a Christian Dior semi-sheer dress which she paired with matching Brian Atwood purple suede pumps.

How to Wear a Lace Dress

• DON’T wear a lace dress when it’s short, shows a lot of cleavage and has various cut-out panels. Lace alone is sexy enough, no need to go overboard. (→ Alyson Michalka).

Hayden Panettiere knocked me out today when I saw pictures of her heading to the MTV Studios in New York to promote her new movie I Love You, Beth Cooper at the It’s On With Alexa Chung show. The young actress looked head-to-toe perfect in a nude colored Elizabeth and James longsleeve mini dress which she accessorized with a purple Nancy Gonzalez croc clutch, a pair of Joan Hornig gold earrings and kickass black Giuseppe Zanotti open-toe booties.

I really ADORE this look on Hayden as she looks so fresh AND sexy in it (two attributes not being easily achieved simultaneously). The color of the dress stands for femininity while the length makes it sexy. The black booties give Hayden’s look a bit of an edge and the purple clutch brings some funk into the game. Gorgeous! This must be one of Hayden’s best looks EVER! Love it.

I’m in love. Zoe Saldana, you officially have a spot in my fashion-loving heart now! For the LA premiere, Zoe once again rocked it in a black sequinned Emilio Pucci Fall 2009 mini dress which had silver helices running across the dress. And once again Zoe opted for lustworthy statement heels – this time they were from Brian Atwood’s Fall 2009 collection.

The always fresh-faced Sophia Bush was also among the ladies who opted for Hervé Léger, but unlike on Amanda Bynes I really liked the zebra-striped strapless dress on her. Black strappy sandals completed Sophia’s look.

Heidi Klum concealed her growing baby bump with a black Jasmine Di Milo fringed dress which she wore with black patent Louboutins. Let’s hope Heidi won’t tone down too much because of her pregnancy.

Hayden Panettiere arrived on the red carpet wearing an all-black ensemble consisting of a black top which had sexy cut-outs on the side and a matching black high-waisted pencil skirt. Hayden thankfully added a dash of color with her pale pink Louboutin peep-toes.

Back in January 2008, Anna Friel arrived at the 8th Annual AFI Awards wearing a cute Moschino Spring 2008 dress. The beige mini dress had a double ruffled hem, cap sleeves and an empire waist. Anna wore her hair in an updo and completed her girly look with minimal jewelry and matching beige platform mary janes.

6 months later, Hayden Panettiere walked the red carpet wearing the same dress in red with nude peep-toes and a silver sparkling clutch.

Tinsley Mortimer opted for the same color as Anna when she showed off the same Moschino number at a Marie Claire party back in September 2008. Black Azzedine Alaia heels and a funky leopard print clutch topped off Tinsley’s look.

Even though I like the red dress version most, I think the Moschino dress is really unflattering on Hayden’s bodyshape, so she’s out of consideration for me. And as much as I like Anna, her accessories were a bit too safe and matchy-matchy. Tinsley’s contrasting heels gave her look a bit of edge and character, so she wins for me. Do you agree?
