Kirsten Dunst

Rating: ★★★★☆

Kirsten Dunst made a rare public appearance to support her favorite red carpet designers Kate and Laura Mulleavy of Rodarte. Dunst is a devoted fan of Rodarte’s outstanding designs and have worn them multiple times on the red carpet.

The actress looked stunning in a silvery draped mini dress from the current Fall 2009 collection. Kirsten paired her dress with grey Nicholas Kirkwood heels which did not quite work for me with the dress. However Kirsten’s makeup was flawless and the sultry smokey eyes completed her ethereal look.

Diane Kruger

Rating: ★★★★☆

I am waiting for Diane Kruger to have a bad day on the red carpet. While I might not always approve of her off duty style, I admit that every time she puts a foot on the red carpet it’s guaranteed to become an instant jaw dropper. Diane looked impeccable as usual in a modified Jason Wu Fall 2009 red mini dress which had a black belt and black embroidered shoulders. Matching black t-strap Roger Vivier sandals and a stunning clutch (also Roger Vivier) completed Diane’s look.

Zoe Saldana

Rating: ★★★★☆

I am developing a rather unhealthy girl crush on Zoe Saldana. Ever since she stepped out on the red carpet to promote Star Trek, I’ve been taken by her effortless beauty and radiant smile. And her outstanding fashion choices, of course! Zoe continues to wow me in this grey sheer off-the-shoulder dress from Calvin Klein’s recent Resort 2010 collection.

Pre-Fall 2009 Collections – Part I

by Profashionelle on December 29, 2008 · 0 comments

Pre-Fall 2009 Collections (J.Mendel, Oscar De La Renta, Roberto Cavalli, Chanel)

Pre-Fall 2009 is upon us and we have all the designer’s best pieces collected below. Enjoy our favorite pieces.

My favorite collections of the first part are:

  • Chanel Paris-Moscow – So Russian, so Coco, so luxurious! LOVE it!
  • Donna Karan – I adore the origami pleating and folding, so FIERCE!
  • Roberto Cavalli – Italian Chic at its best! So SEDUCING!
  • J.Mendel – Just looking at the collection makes me feel instantly glamourous & luxe. MAGNIFIQUE!
  • Burberry Prorsum – Nothing new, but every piece of the collection is so EXQUISITE!
  • Oscar De La Renta – ELEGANT & FEMININE as always!

The collections I liked least were Calvin Klein (too much minimalism going on, everything looks bland) and Zac Posen (just not my kind of cuts & colors).

Other collections including Narciso Rodriguez and Vera Wang also fell flat for me.

Which Pre-Fall 2009 collection did you like most? Vote for your favorite in a poll after the jump.

At this year’s SAG Awards, there were quite a few ladies sporting a rather unconventional color on their red carpet dresses: teal.

But which lovely gal rocked this shade of turquoise best? Was it Amanda Bynes in Marchesa, Marcia Cross in Monique Lhuillier or Jamie-Lynn Sigler in Calvin Klein? Let us know.

Though I personally like Amanda’s embellished empire waisted dress best, I think I’ll go with Marcia Cross here. She perfectly accesorized her gown and the red hair creates a striking contrast with the vibrant color of her dress.
