I really didn’t believe Christopher Bailey could outdo himself after the hotness that is his Fall 2010 collection, but I was pleasantly surprised that my great expectations were not only met but superseded.
As is tradition with Burberry the major focus was on the jackets and trenchcoats which there were plenty of. What I loved were the neon accessories against the rather neutral palette of nudes, blacks and other earthy tones. Another theme were the flouncy silk dresses which were combined with leather jackets in crazy shiny silver python or nude with gold spikes bestowing the shoulders.
Once again Bailey managed to put Burberry back on the map of the fashion-forward. Definitely one of the headliners so far! ♥

Olivia Wilde seems to have become Marchesa’s unofficial brand ambassador. The actress wore a beautiful strapless rose gown from the Fall 2009 collection which had floral embroideries and feathers going across the entire dress. Brian Atwood’s Maniac pumps in nude completed Olivia’s ultra feminine look.
Kate Bosworth was my favorite last night. She was a vision in her dove grey strapless Alexander McQueen column gown. Simple and elegant. Perfection!
Red is definitely Jessica Alba‘s color. The hot mama opted for a red flirty strapless mini dress which she accessorized with a gorgeous statement necklace, a black satin clutch and matching black peep-toe heels. So chic!
Jamie King strut the red carpet in one of Burberry Prorsum’s uber-gorgeous draped dresses. Her baby blue mini dress was worn without the belt and shoes as shown on the runway. Feminine yet quirky!
After a few brief flirts with contemporary lines Nicole Richie reverted back to her boho chic attire. Her multi-coloured paisley printed long sleeve wrap dress from Etro’s Spring 2010 collection had Nicole’s name all over it. I’m usually not a fan of busy prints, but Nicole makes it work for her. Lovely choice!
Ashley Olsen brought on the drama in her nude lace-covered Alexander McQueen mermaid gown. I know many of you will hate Ashley’s dark berry lipstick, but I just love that she chose such a dark lip to wear with her ethereal dress. It’s a bold choice and Ashley carries it off with ease.

Pre-Fall 2009 is upon us and we have all the designer’s best pieces collected below. Enjoy our favorite pieces.
My favorite collections of the first part are:
- Chanel Paris-Moscow – So Russian, so Coco, so luxurious! LOVE it!
- Donna Karan – I adore the origami pleating and folding, so FIERCE!
- Roberto Cavalli – Italian Chic at its best! So SEDUCING!
- J.Mendel – Just looking at the collection makes me feel instantly glamourous & luxe. MAGNIFIQUE!
- Burberry Prorsum – Nothing new, but every piece of the collection is so EXQUISITE!
- Oscar De La Renta – ELEGANT & FEMININE as always!
The collections I liked least were Calvin Klein (too much minimalism going on, everything looks bland) and Zac Posen (just not my kind of cuts & colors).
Other collections including Narciso Rodriguez and Vera Wang also fell flat for me.
Which Pre-Fall 2009 collection did you like most? Vote for your favorite in a poll after the jump.
