Whenever I stumble upon designer knockoffs, I normally post them on my other blog called InTheirCloset.com (go check it out if you haven’t already), but since I know how coveted Sam Edelman’s Balenciaga knockoffs are, I just had to share the news with ALL of my readers.
Remember Balenciaga’s Fall 2006 harness platform boots made famous by Mary-Kate Olsen? Sam Edelman released a great knockoff version called the “Zoe” boot in 2007 and these boots were so popular they sold out super fast. Back in March Miranda Kerr was on Victoria’s Secret duties launching yet another VS fragrance in LA. Miranda looked flawless as usual wearing a seafoam draped sheath dress by Balenciaga which she completed with leg-lengthening nude peep-toe pumps and an oversized white cocktail ring.
Ali Larter opted for the same Balenciaga frock when she attended The Feed Health Backpak Launch Party last week. The actress completed her look with a pair of strappy sandals and a metal box clutch.
I really like both women in this dress (which I’d love to have in my own closet btw), but I slightly prefer Miranda’s look. Not because she’s a model, but because I love her nude pumps and the cute blossom statement ring. Plus, I would have liked to see Ali rocking a different hairstyle as I’m not too fond of this one. What do you think?

Back in June 2008, Charlize Theron wowed the crowds in a Balenciaga LBD when she attended the London premiere of Hancock. The dress had a peplum at the waist and a thigh-high slit on the front side. Charlize completed her look with black Pigalle Louboutins and a grey jeweled box clutch.
I haven’t ever heard of Lee Hye Young before today, but she certainly caught my attention when I saw her wearing the same Balenciaga dress at what must be a premiere or some other event for her newest show Queen of Housewives. The Korean actress went the elegant route and opted for Alexander McQueen Spring 2008 black patent square-toe pumps which have a golden cap toe.
Be surprised or not, but this time I am not going to give it to the A-Lister (even though I think Charlize looks AMAZING as well). Lee Hye Young wore the dress better in my opinion. I like how she made it more elegant by giving the peplum more volume and how she added a dash of color with her red lips. Lee’s shoe choice was also a bit more creative than Charlize’s who opted for plain black Louboutins.
