3.1 Phillip Lim Resort 2010

I am absolutely in love with 3.1 Phillip Lim’s Resort 2010 collection. Of course there were a few items being not to my taste (like the patchwork denim or the tacky floral prints), but overall I was really smitten with his soft and feminine collection.

What I especially loved were the lace items (blouses, skirts & dresses) as well as the draped chiffon skirts, the rolled hem shorts and high-waisted belted pants.

Lim stuck to a rather neutral color palette, no bold colors like red or yellow. Instead he used a lot of nudes and beiges, greys and an occasional splash of black in between.

Jessica Biel does not belong to my fashion favorites and she hardly makes any of my best dressed lists, but she hit it 100% right with this ivory 3.1 Phillip Lim asymmetrical dress which had ruffles cascading down the front side. Jessica attended the screening of her newest movie “Easy Virtue” yesterday in New York looking very soft and feminine in this delicate dress which she finished off with Christian Louboutin python pumps. Let’s hope she continues walking on this road.
