Oh my God, I think I just fell in love with this insanely beautiful cream Alice + Olivia tutu dress. I’m totally struck by this piece of fabric and am staring at it for at least an hour now.
It’s so cute and frisky; it instantly reminded me of my childhood and how my mother used to dress me up. Yes, I’m not a little girl anymore and I’m probably far too short to pull it off, but anyway I need to have it – NOW!

Wrapped up in a sparkling, skin-tight Cavalli dress, actress and full-time goddess Cate Blanchett graces this month’s special Icon Issue of British Harper’s Bazaar. She’s absolutely divine here, isn’t she? One more reason to love her.
Cate on fashion:
There are people out there who sculpt things on the body. I mean, you spend half an hour with Karl Lagerfeld and he’s so keyed into your current movements, and he’s always expanding himself. He gives you 20 books to read, and you’re enriched. At that kind of level, there’s a really interesting crossfertilisation (of culture) that goes on.
Cate on Hollywood:
In the film industry, there’s this real sense that it’s not just what you’re doing at the time, but it’s where it’s going to lead you. That’s antithetical to the way I think. I’ve always been much more interested in the process, rather than the outcome. It’s taken me a long time to kind of remember that these things come out and they (generate enormous) exposure.
Cate on acting:
It’s a fascinating thing to do with one’s life. It’s sort of like not having to make a choice about how one spends one’s life. You get to have so many different sets of experiences. The journey is immensely broad.
In case you were wondering, Cate is wearing this amazing golden Roberto Cavalli dress from the Fall 2007 collection which was the highlight of the show. So want to have this one!

If you don’t know about the curvaceous actress yet, it’s about time to get to know her. This is what Wikipedia has to say about the young girl:
America Georgine Ferrera (born April 18, 1984) is a Latina actress. She is perhaps best known for her Golden Globe, Screen Actors Guild Award, and Emmy-winning role as Betty Suarez on the ABC television comedy-drama series Ugly Betty and also for her roles in the films Real Women Have Curves and The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants.
So what did America Ferrera wear this summer on the red carpet? Let’s take a look…
July 28, 2007 – 22nd Annual Imagen Awards, LA
America wore this Bill Blass floor length gown to the Annual Imagen Awards for Excellence in Latino Entertainment. What a beauty! I love the creamy color on her.
August 18, 2007 – Hot in Hollywood Benefit Party, LA
America back to her usual black – this time wearing a gorgeous Halo dress at the Hot in Hollywood Benefit Party.
August 20, 2007 – “Ugly Betty: The Complete First Season” DVD Launch Party, LA
America brightens up her Nanette Lepore look by wearing a turquoise top to the DVD Launch Party of Ugly Betty.
August 26, 2007 – FOX Teen Choice Awards 2007
At this year’s Teen Choice Awards, America disappointed me with this ultra hideous grey dress – once more Nanette Lepore. BORING!
September 16, 2007 – 59th Annual Emmy Awards
This is SO much better on America! With this royal blue strapless Monique Lhuillier dress, America, whose face was glowing with happiness, definitely belonged to one of the best dressed celebrities at the 59th Emmy Awards.
The highest paid supermodel Gisele Bundchen continues to pimp her own line of sandals in the Porque a Terra é Azul campaign “wearing” nothing but a water dress. The Brazilian beauty teamed up with shoes company Grendene to create the Ipanema Gisele Bundchen line that has flip-flops selling for as much as $230 a pair.
Never been much of a fan of Gisele’s, but this photoshoot is awesome. Who ever got the idea deserves an award! The last thing I noticed here were the shoes though. I thought she is promoting a water brand or something like that. Anyway, these photos are masterpieces (and I don’t care how much photoshopped they are)!
Gisele, you made it back on my list, honey.
