The latest to my list of ever growing shoe obsessions: The “Maxine” wedges by Elie Tahari. Totally in love with these! Not quite weather-appropriate right now, but I’m about to go on a vaca in a month to sunny Thailand and these would be perfect… but $398? Oh well, a girl can dream.
Elie Tahari “Maxine” Wedges
I really didn’t believe Christopher Bailey could outdo himself after the hotness that is his Fall 2010 collection, but I was pleasantly surprised that my great expectations were not only met but superseded.
As is tradition with Burberry the major focus was on the jackets and trenchcoats which there were plenty of. What I loved were the neon accessories against the rather neutral palette of nudes, blacks and other earthy tones. Another theme were the flouncy silk dresses which were combined with leather jackets in crazy shiny silver python or nude with gold spikes bestowing the shoulders.
Once again Bailey managed to put Burberry back on the map of the fashion-forward. Definitely one of the headliners so far! ♥
Key Trends: neon accents, leather, belted jackets, python prints
