Back in June 2008, Charlize Theron wowed the crowds in a Balenciaga LBD when she attended the London premiere of Hancock. The dress had a peplum at the waist and a thigh-high slit on the front side. Charlize completed her look with black Pigalle Louboutins and a grey jeweled box clutch.
I haven’t ever heard of Lee Hye Young before today, but she certainly caught my attention when I saw her wearing the same Balenciaga dress at what must be a premiere or some other event for her newest show Queen of Housewives. The Korean actress went the elegant route and opted for Alexander McQueen Spring 2008 black patent square-toe pumps which have a golden cap toe.
Be surprised or not, but this time I am not going to give it to the A-Lister (even though I think Charlize looks AMAZING as well). Lee Hye Young wore the dress better in my opinion. I like how she made it more elegant by giving the peplum more volume and how she added a dash of color with her red lips. Lee’s shoe choice was also a bit more creative than Charlize’s who opted for plain black Louboutins.
