My favorite actress wearing my favorite designer! Oh, how I love Cate Blanchett for continously wearing the ethereal designs of Alexander McQueen. Cate looked absolutely divine in a black v-neck split sleeve gown from the outstanding Resort 2012 collection which she wore to the Van Cleef & Arpels store opening in Hong Kong. It was by far my favorite dress from the collection and I was overjoyed to see Cate wearing it with such elegance. It’s like she was made to wear Alexander McQueen! (♥ ♥ ♥)

Cameron Diaz in Oscar De La Renta wowed me almost just as much as Zoe did in Givenchy. If it weren’t for the slightly blah-ish golden color. The beading on her OdLR Fall 2010 strapless gown is exquisite, but they almost get lost on this dusty golden shade. Too bad. But since Cameron is a seasoned red carpet pro, she still worked her gown to perfection. Also love the red lips!

Zoe Saldana, you made me not regret staying up late to watch the Oscars! OMG! Doesn’t she look absolutely spectacular? You know I love me some purple and dear God Zoe totally knocked it out of the ballpark. Her strapless ruffled Givenchy Couture gown was risquÃ© yet timeless and Zoe’s smile is the best accessory to compliment her stunning jeweled dress. Definitely a strong contender for Best Dressed. Let’s see if someone can outdo Zoe in the style department.

May I just say OMG! I think I’ll have to make room on my fashion favorites list and add Asia Argento somewhere on the top. The Italian actress was an absolute knockout in head-to-toe Givenchy at the Charity Gala Telethon during the 4th International Rome Film Festival.

I mean look at her poise: she just OWNED this black one sleeve number and the shoes are beyond dangerous. I really didn’t think I could be THAT impressed with a rather simple black dress as this, but I guess it’s the whole package that kind of sealed the deal here. This dress could’ve looked so blah on some random B-list celebrity, but Asia pulls it off with ease and you can see she wears it with so much grace and personality. Oh my, I can’t stop gushing!

Until I saw Rose Byrne in her exquisite, embellished Valentino gown I was convinced Olivia Wilde would be my favorite at the Emmys. But the second I spotted Rose in her sparkling, voluminous dress I was in total awe. The gorgeous Aussie actress was a vision in her nude tulle gown and walked the red carpet so gracefully, it was a captivating moment. I think I have a new girl crush.

OMG! I have died and gone to heaven. At least that’s what I thought when I saw Olivia Wilde in her delicate icy blue Marchesa Spring 2010 embroidered gown which had a sheer yoke and an exquisite tiered skirt. She was pure gorgeousness from the front, but when the actress turned around to work her over-the-shoulder pose her dress revealed an open back accounting for the WOW! factor of Olivia’s look. Head-to-toe perfection! She looked absolutely angelic on the red carpet and worked it like only a Cate Blanchett could. Truly stunning and a well deserved Red Carpet Gold Star!

I knew this day would come during Diane Kruger‘s Inglorious Basterds promo tour. The day she’d blow me away. Today was that day. Diane attended the second Australian premiere at the State Theatre in Sydney being absolute perfection in a red one-shouldered Marchesa Resort 2010 peplum dress which she set off with a pair of navy glitter Loboutins. What’s not to love about this flawless look? Can’t wait to see what she’s going to wear for the US premiere. So excited!

I haven’t awarded a Red Carpet Gold Star for quite some time now. While there were many red carpet appearance that I liked or even loved, none of them really made me go WOW! – the little extra something was always missing. PenÃ©lope Cruz however REALLY stunned me today and rightfully deserves to be crowned. The Spanish actress attended the London premiere of Broken Embraces looking ravishing in red in a double-breasted red Bottega Veneta Resort 2010 suit. You know you love it when you can’t stop staring.

What impressed me even more about PenÃ©lope’s look is that she could’ve easily called one of her designer friends and choose a $10k couture gown, but instead she opted for this almost casual suit and _still_ knocked it all out of the fashion ball park. Her grace and attitude were what made this look outstanding. Te Quiero, PenÃ©lope!

P.S.: Love the shoes as well (and that’s coming from a girl who usually hates everyting t-strap).

Perfection! Kate Bosworth hosted a private dinner party for the Rodarte sisters, Laura and Kate Mulleavy, which took place at Harvey Nichols in London yesterday. The actress looked breathtakingly beautiful in a nude creation from the Spring 2009 collection. The dress had a pleated leather skirt, a sheer knit bodice and separate sleeves. Her soft makeup and the matching accessories were the icing on the cake.

I’ve always had a soft spot for Kate and the Rodarte girls. Seeing them together so perfectly combined makes me swoon!

Emma Watson was just as stunning in her own Rodarte number which was a black and blue draped dress also the Spring 2009 collection. I just wished she would’ve worn the kickass Nicholas Kirkwood runway heels as I think they would’ve worked better than her two-tone Chanel Spring 2009 Couture platforms.

I used to dislike Sienna Miller for no particular reason. And I always had problems remembering her face. She was so overexposed in all the fashion mags which declared her a fashion icon. Suddenly it was all about “Boho chic“. I didn’t get it and I still don’t. But my feelings towards Sienna have changed. She’s actually really beautiful and she ALWAYS laughs and radiates and seems to be such a positive person which I like about people. OK, now let’s talk fashion:

Red carpet fashion at this year’s MTV Movie Awards were kind of blah. Nothing really noteworthy except for Sienna who blew me away in her moss green sequinned mini dress from her own Twenty8Twelve label. The British actress paired her sexy backless dress with metallic Nicholas Kirkwood heels, a silver sparkling Chanel clutch and the cutest smirk I’ve seen in a long time.
