I’m not always fond of Mischa Barton fashion choices, but in May 2007, when she was attending Cinema Against AIDS 2007 Benefiting amfAR in Cannes, Mischa was pure high class glamour in a stunning monochrome gown from Dior’s Fall 2007 collection.

Mischa wore her hair pulled back and decided to go with a bare neck to give the dress space to dazzle. She accessorized with gorgeous sapphire diamond drop earrings, a diamond bracelet and a black clutch. Her make-up was flawless as usual, I especially love the Va Va Voom eyes and the red lips.

Another week, another Red Carpet Gold Star. And this one’s a killer. Reese Witherspoon was beyond perfection at the 2007 Golden Globe Awards wearing a beautiful canary yellow Nina Ricci by Olivier Theyskens strapless cocktail dress with divine red Brian Atwood heels and gems by Van Cleef & Arpels.

The gorgeous shoes Reese wore at the Golden Globes are by designer Brian Atwood from the fall/winter 2006 collection and the style is called “Dorian“.

The pumps were previously sold by NeimanMarcus, but sold out shortly after Reese’s Golden Globes appearance. NET-A-PORTER is still selling a few pairs of these gorgeous D’Orsay pumps in black.

You might think I’m totally crazy for white gowns, but I just couldn’t resist choosing Hayden Panettiere’s beautiful white Grecian-inspired empire waist dress as our next Red Carpet Gold Star.

Hayden wore a Monique Lhuillier Spring 2007 simple but elegant white strapless column dress. The metallic belt below the bust line was the only fancy detail.

The “Heroes“-star was glowing with happiness and reminded me of a Greek siren who enchanted us with her impeccable head-to-toe look. Oh, and did I mention how much I LOVE, LOVE her hair here? Or her gorgeous emerald drop earrings? To die for. ♥ ♥ ♥

Queen Cate shared some of her red carpet magic with us dazzling fans and photographers with her usual fabulous self at the 61st Cannes Film Festival where she attended the screening of the opening film Blindness.

The Australian actress did not fail to impress the world on her 39th birthday (Happy Birthday, Cate!) with a blush extravagant Armani Privé Spring 2008 Couture one-shouldered gown with ruffled detailing just one month after giving birth to her third son, Ignatius Martin.

And how F A N T A S T I C is Cate’s hair here? I’m stunned.

I know it’s been really quiet here lately. We’ve been doing a lot of offline stuff, but we never forgot about our fashion blog baby, so this post will be the birth of a new category here on Profashionelle: the Red Carpet Gold Star. An award given to those who managed to stand out on the red carpet, making us remember their dresses & appearances even after years.

Such is what British actress Keira Knightley managed to do when she stunned everyone in a beautiful white sleek column Valentino dress and a pair of amazing vintage Cartier earrings to the 63rd Golden Globe Awards in 2006. And frankly, isn’t this dress one of the most beautiful dresses you’ve ever seen? I happen to think so and love everything about it (shape, color and the gorgeous flower-shaped belt, of course).

This dress is one of my favourite red carpet pieces of all time. But it’s not just the dress that’s close to heavenly perfection - it’s Keira wearing it with such grace and elegance. She just oozes glamour. Dress, hair, make up, accessoires - she’s a perfect ten here. Oh my God, I could be staring at these pictures for hours.
