Forget Brangelina, forget Becks and Vicky – the newest It-celebrity couple in terms of fashion is ZANESSA! High School Musical starlet Vanessa Hudgens and her co-star and boyfriend beau Zac Efron are fairly young and new to Hollywood, but they already dress as fashionable as their older stylish colleague pros.
I was so in love with how both looked at the Palm Springs International Film Festival Gala this weekend that I spontaneously created an award for Best Dressed Couple of the Week. Sounds good, huh? If the two match in private as perfectly as they do on the red carpet, I see a bright future for Zanessa.
What was she wearing?

Vanessa was stunning in a sleek and sexy black strapless, floor length, butterfly twist dress from Mandy Moore’s Mblem Holiday 2007 Collection.
I love how Vanessa accessorized the dress with a rangy gold necklace (there’s a tiny cross attached). It’s the perfect length and gives the simple black dress a touch of sophistication.
Also thumbs up for V styling her hair up, love it! The only thing that makes me go “Ugh!” is Vanessa’s bronze satin bag.
You can shop the dress for reasonable $190.

When we recently did a recap on Kate Bosworth‘s red carpet appearances in 2007, we had quite a soft spot for her Preen pink pocket dress she wore to the world premiere of her flick “The Girl in The Park” back in September.
Since most of us mortals are on a budget (even with regards to fashion), we created a similar “Look for Less“-version of Kate’s chic and girly outfit. Enjoy.
The top might be originally meant to be a sweater, but it’s certainly long enough to be pulled off as a dress, so dare to be different and wear it for a night out in town. Found via FabSugar.

There is a distinct trend we’ve spied. A lot of the ladies in good ol’ Hollywood were storming the red carpets in beautiful satin gowns colored in the most fascinating jewel tones recently. Canary diamond, emerald green, ruby and sapphire – perfect shades for perfect red carpet moments.
In the picture above you can see a few of the celebs who were sporting the luxury look. Here’s what they were wearing:
- Brittany Snow turned heads in this stunning canary yellow Catherine Malandrino Spring 2007 dress
- Beyoncé squeezed herself in a stunning emerald green fishtail dress from the Zac Posen Resort 2008 collection.
- Rihanna was hot in pink showing massive cleavage in this racy strapless floor-length gown
- Hayden Panettiere was wearing Roberto Cavalli and clear Louis Vuitton wedges
Here is our take on satin items colored in beautiful jewel tones. Beautiful, aren’t they? Need. Credit Card. NOW!

This sparkling gold sequin mini dress by Jovani
was one of three stunning frocks Carrie Underwood wore at the Movie Rocks Awards in Hollywood on December 2nd. Back in August 2007, socialite Kim Kardashian was all glam in the same dress at the Celebrity Catwalk For Charity event.
Both girls wore the dress in a similar fashion, but who wore it better? Kim or Carrie? You decide.
