Back in June, Kim Kardashian attended the 20th Annual MuchMusic Video Awards in Toronto wearing a black and white Nuj Novakhett Fall 2009 striped dress which she accessorized with a black belt, black suede Louboutin pumps and a matching Louboutin satin clutch.
Last week at TV Guide’s The CW Fall TV Preview Party Ashlee Simpson decided to wear the same striped mini dress. Ashlee opted out of wearing a belt and instead decided to jazz up her outfit by adding a red clutch and white pointy pumps to complete her look.
I really dislike Kim’s hair in the above picture and the nude make-up doesn’t do her any favors as well. However, she stil wins this for me as I prefer Kim’s accessories and because white pumps are a big personal no no of mine. Do you agree?

Blake Lively opted for Versace as she usually does for the big events. The Gossip Girl actress wore a sexy ravishing red dress from Versace’s Fall 2009 collection which had a dangerously low plunging neckline and a front slit going up to the hip. A pair of nude Louboutin peep-toes and braided hair completed Blake’s ensemble. There is no denying that Blake looks amazing, but I wish she’d tone down the sexy kitten and go for more edgier looks. What do you think of Blake’s Emmy look?

OMG! I have died and gone to heaven. At least that’s what I thought when I saw Olivia Wilde in her delicate icy blue Marchesa Spring 2010 embroidered gown which had a sheer yoke and an exquisite tiered skirt. She was pure gorgeousness from the front, but when the actress turned around to work her over-the-shoulder pose her dress revealed an open back accounting for the WOW! factor of Olivia’s look. Head-to-toe perfection! She looked absolutely angelic on the red carpet and worked it like only a Cate Blanchett could. Truly stunning and a well deserved Red Carpet Gold Star!

Do you think we’ll ever catch Dita von Teese having a bad hair day? I kinda doubt it. She never gives us anything less than pure flawlessness. And while I’d love to see her stepping away from her burlesque roots and try out a different style, I very well appreciate the amount of thought and effort she puts in all her red carpet looks. On this occasion Dita was wearing a modified nude dress by Fendi from the Spring 2009 collection which had beautiful pink floral appliqués attached on the entire dress. Dita matched her pink satin heels to her dress and donned her trademark red lips as per usual. Love her summery look! Do you?

Olivia Wilde looked absolutely spectacular at the 60th Primetime Emmy Awards last year. The House actress wore a stunning floor-length gown by Reem Acra from his Spring 2008 collection. The ivory chiffon and satin dress had a twisted sweetheart neckline and beautiful beaded cap sleeves. Olivia’s perfect red carpet look impressed me so much it made my Best of 2008 – Red Carpet Gowns list which I published earlier this year.
Jessica Szohr was filming Gossip Girl with Ed Westwick yesterday where the actress was wearing the same romantic Reem Acra gown. Jessica’s styling instantly made me think of 40s glam as her hair was styled in an elegant retro updo. Bold red lips completed her glamourous look.
This fashion faceoff is pretty easy for me. While I think it’s impossible NOT to look amazing in this breathtaking dress, I definitely prefer Olivia in it. She was oozing perfection and you could see she had a great time showing herself off in this beautiful gown. Jessica’s antiquated updo and the heavy diamond earrings just didn’t cut it for me. What do you think?
