I’ve never been much into jewelry and almost never wear (ear)rings or necklaces. The only accessories I wear on a daily basis are 4 thin bracelets I got from my mom and a watch which has been given to me as a birthday present a few years ago. Apart from these I hardly own any jewelry and never felt the need to change that… until now.
Pippa Small crafts some of the most amazing pieces I’ve ever seen. She’s very much into gems and uses them a lot in the pieces she creates. If they weren’t way out of my budget, I’d totally splurge and never look back.

Born in Canada, but raised in Wiltshire with an extended family of artists and wanderers, Pippa Small’s home was filled with an eclectic mix of cultural artefacts gleaned from their travels.
Even as a small child, Pippa was attracted to gems, shells and minerals. She gathered beads, bottle tops, seeds, sea-washed glass, anything and everything, secreting her treasures in little piles around the house.
I especially like the green gem pieces (look at that gorgeous emerald green ring! ♥), but the pink tourmaline ring (£2.500) and the peacock earrings (£2.200) are also nice. Which one is your favorite?
You can buy Pippa Small’s jewelry in her online shop and at Astley Clarke.

Marchesa is a red carpet favorite among celebrities. No major award show would be complete without at least one celebrity wearing one of the exquisite dresses. Georgina Chapman, one half of the designer duo, does a lot of PR work for Marchesa by wearing her designs only on every public event she attends.
Marchesa’s recent spring collection seems to be extremely popular with the rich and famous in Hollywood. See who’s been wearing Marchesa Spring 2009 below and vote for your favorite at the end of the post.

I recently stumbled upon upcoming designer Laila Azhar whose designs I loved at first sight, so I thought I would share some of her beautiful creations with you.

Laila Azhar is carried at Shopbop
, RevolveClothing
and Barney’s.
Laila Azhar Bio
Born in Morocco, designer Laila first moved to the United States with her family at the age of five. Whilst earning her Bachelors degree in Biology, Laila was gratefully exposed to the fashion industry through modeling opportunities which served as a catalyst and driving force to create her own designs.
In 2002, Laila enrolled in Parsons School of Design to pursue her strong ambition of becoming a fashion designer. After graduating and working for two years as an Assistant Designer, Laila knew it was time to materialize her vision into reality.
Laila designs for the individualistic, independent metropolitan woman whose wardrobe is an extension of her confidence, originality and sophistication. Her personal style reflects the pure elegance of simplicity with a taste for uniquely sculpted silhouettes that thrive on understatement. Rather than chasing trends, Laila designs beautiful, sexy clothes that are practical yet romantic, uninvolved yet constructive, and timeless yet modern.
