The age-defying Iman attended the gala in a modified champagne-colored strapless Donna Karan Resort 2009 dress putting ALL her younger colleagues to shame. She truly is a muse. To me and to all the other women hoping to look just half as good as she does when we hit her age. Iman got the best genes EVER!

Claudia Schiffer was the hottest supermodel on the red carpet last night. Claudia wore a black semi-sheer Atelier Versace Spring 2009 origami-folded dress and looked fantastic in it. I kind of never understood why she was so hyped as a supermodel, but seeing her in that Versace dress now I definitely can.

LOVE. LOVE. LOVE. Miranda Kerr looked amazing in her uber-sexy black fringed Jil Sander dress and I think she was one of the best models in attendance even though she is not a high fashion model like a lot of the other models who were there, but that fills my heart with even more joy because Miranda seems like such a nice person and I think she totally deserved the attention.

Jessica Stam went for a short Rodarte Fall 2009 metallic mini dress and I loved it! Her dress has been modified from the runway version and instead of the thigh-high leather boots, Jessica opted for matching metallic sandals.

It pains me to put Rachel Weisz in here, but she got it all wrong. Her lilac strapless Vera Wang tulle gown totally washed her out, the make-up was waaaay too dark (OMG!@ berry lips) and why, oh why, is that yellow fabric peeking out from under the hem? Sorry, Rachel, you can do so much better.

I’ve had enough with Kate Beckinsale. Her Marchesa Fall 2009 navy tulle gown was, as you would expect from Kate, over the top and unnecessary. I have never liked this dress in the first place, but seeing it on Kate makes it even worse because she ALWAYS plays it safe and never moves out of her comfort zone.

Rihanna, please stop trying so hard. Don’t get me wrong, I love the runway look, but Rihanna makes it look so desperate for attention and so silly I can’t stand it.
I also find it always were amusing when at prestigious events such as the Costume Institute Gala where women are expected to wear beautiful, feminine princess dresses there are always 1 or 2 witty female individuals who opt out of this dress code. These women think they will come off so edgy and anti-establishment when they wear something super masculine like a suit or a tuxedo for example. GENIUS, girl! I bet no one else EVER had the same idea.

Imagine Leighton Meester‘s outfit without the leggings and you have a Best Dressed candidate. Leighton’s head-to-toe Louis Vuitton Fall 2009 look is a perfect example when too much becomes too bad. Such a shame!

Anne Hathaway channelled 60s Jackie O chic and me no likey. I love Anne just as anybody else, but this eggplant Marc Jacobs bubbly dress does absolutely nothing for her. Not digging the hair and shoes as well.

I know a lot of you will not agree with me for putting Emma Roberts on the Worst Dressed list, but let me try to get my point across. I absolutely ADORE this red bubble-shaped Atelier Versace Spring 2009 mini dress. In fact it’s one of my favorite from that collection. But you can tell from a mile away that this dress was the wrong choice for Emma. It’s a dress for a SUPERMODEL! And even then I think it would be quite tricky to pull it off because of the shape. Emma looks weird and unsure of herself, the dress owns her. Not good.
Why did Donatella give it away for Emma? I mean, come on! I would have LOVED to see it on Gisele, Linda or Naomi. They would have done this dress justice.
